10.10.28 新製品「PCIEX1-PCI」PCI Express x1 to PCI変換ボード

玄人志向がPCI-E x1をPCIに変換する変態商品を来月後半に販売するらしいです。

以下素人の考察。

使用チップはPericom PI7X9XってなってますがPericomに該当するチップが見当たらない。

で、ボード(の画像)を見ると「9X110 V:2.0」とある。

調べるとPercomのPCIe-to-PCI BridgeにPI7C9X110(66MHz 32bit対応)を発見。

こいつはPCI版GeForce 8600 GT＆8500 GTや8400GSに使用されたチップですね。多分コイツ。

(チップ自体は5V信号も扱える？英語がわからない高専生orz)


でその8400GSは3.3V無いと動作しなさそうだったり…

そしてカード上に5V→3.3Vっぽいレギュレーターが見当たらない。チップ共々裏側か？
(ちっこい三端子はチップ用っぽくね？かなりちっこいし)

外部給電コネクタも無い。ちなみにPCI-Eって12Vと3.3Vしか無い模様。

440BXや430TXのマザーは5Vしか給電されてない…

まさか、これは…
